Merilyn specialises in healthcare and advises on communications strategy (including creative concepts) across higher education, justice, and innovation.
Her work focuses on reputation management – designing and implementing tailored strategies and action plans aligned with each client’s objectives. In spring 2025, she led a multi-stakeholder project with 13 partners to deliver the first large-scale light installation on high-rise buildings in central Tallinn, raising public awareness of cardiovascular health and heart disease. The initiative was both technically complex and coordination-intensive.
Merilyn has also supported with strategy design and PR activities the Estonia lung cancer screening pilot and the Estonia–Sweden prison rent agreement project.
Drawing on experience in both crisis and political PR, Merilyn brings a rigorous, evidence-based approach to developing effective strategies and implementation roadmaps.
Previously, she worked as Head of Communications for the Social Democratic Party and held Head of Communications roles at the Republic of Estonia Agency of Medicines and at the Elva Municipal Government. Earlier in her career, she worked as a journalist. She holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Tartu and currently teaches communication students at the same university.
